The Great Outdoors

Today, Grade 4 students began a fabulous new outdoor PE activity… orienteering! They used their new knowledge of map directions and symbols to search for clues hidden around the school yard. I saw some fabulous synergy as students worked together to achieve their goals. It was a great chance to enjoy the beautiful fall weather, get some fitness and spend time with a friend. We also had a chance to deepen our understanding of maps as we put them to good use. Best of all, it was FUN!
