Today was our weekly snowshoeing session. We were looking forward to some exercise in the warm weather, but we got much more than we anticipated! The snow is so sticky and heavy that it was sticking to the bottoms of our snowshoes. It felt like we had 100-pound weights strapped to our boots!
After a long and demanding lap around the schoolyard, we decided to take advantage of the perfect snow and build an army of snowmen. It was a super opportunity to build synergy as well as snowpeople! Many students were looking for ways to make their job easier. All of their Science knowledge about simple machines came in handy…. Tyler’s back became an inclined plane to get the second snowball on top of the bottom one. Great thinking, Grade 4’s.
