Aloha from 4Wa

Today was Hawaiian Dress-Up Day at school. We are dressing in our Aloha gear to kick off our Hawaiian book fair which is happening next week. Someone forgot to tell Mother Nature, though…. what a winter wonderland!

Our 4Wa students found their spirit of Aloha and dusted off their tropical attire for the day.  We played Hawaiian games in PE, including Hula Tag and Pineapple/Coconut dodgeball. We even learned how to thank each other in Hawaiian – MAHALO!

Please remember to check out the Hawaiian book fair next week in the library when you come for Student – Led Conferences. The conferences are a drop-in format; Tuesday, April 17 (3-6pm) and Thursday, April 19 (4-7pm). These conferences are a chance for your child to demonstrate all the new skills and learning that has been happening at school. Child care for siblings will be provided in the music room so that you and your Grade 4 child can spend some special time celebrating his/her learning!

Check out the creative costuming of our Kanes (boys) and Wahines (girls)! ALOHA!

  1. Hi 4Wa,
You all looked fantastic in your aloha gear, like you should be carrying surfboards over your shoulders and have a coat of zinc on your noses! What a fun day!
